Sweet Treats and Smiles Brighten Midterm Morning

Students received a much-needed boost of joy this morning during their midterm exam break, thanks to a thoughtful and fun surprise from school leadership. Principal Steve Swensen, alongside Assistant Principals Lisa Peterson and Ian Lowell, treated all students to free cookies, helping ease stress during this busy exam period.
Adding to the excitement, Principal Swensen went all out for the occasion by dressing up as the Cookie Monster, much to the delight of students passing through the break area. Laughter, smiles, and plenty of chocolate chip crumbs filled the halls as students grabbed cookies and took a moment to relax before returning to their exams.
A huge thank you goes to Whitsons Culinary Group, who baked a plethora of cookies to make this event possible. Their generosity and support helped turn an otherwise stressful morning into one filled with positivity and school spirit.
Small gestures like this go a long way, reminding students that they are supported and cared for, especially during high-pressure times like midterms. It was truly a sweet way to lift spirits and show that even during exams, there’s always room for a little fun (and a cookie or two).
